According to the National Weather Service, rain is expected to begin after 4 p.m. Thursday, with winds shifting from the south at 7-10 mph. Showers will continue overnight, with heavier rainfall between midnight and early Friday afternoon. Gusty winds up to 26 mph may accompany the system, with new precipitation totals ranging from a quarter to half an inch.
By Friday night, rain will taper off, leaving behind mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of lingering showers. Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny, with highs in the mid-40s, offering a brief break before another cloudy pattern develops late in the weekend.
Sunday brings milder temperatures, with highs reaching the mid-50s, though clouds will persist. By Monday, conditions should remain partly sunny with highs near 50. Residents should prepare for slippery roads and potential slowdowns during peak travel times Thursday night into Friday.
