East L.A., CA – Valentine’s Day plans in East Los Angeles may be impacted as heavy rain and thunderstorms move through the area on Friday. A Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 a.m. Thursday, with additional showers expected into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, rain and thunderstorms will continue overnight Thursday into Friday morning. Showers are likely before 10 a.m. Friday, with improving conditions by the afternoon. Winds will range from 5 to 15 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.
Saturday and Sunday bring drier conditions, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 60s. However, patchy fog may develop Sunday night into Washington’s Birthday.
Residents should remain cautious of flooded roads and avoid travel during heavy downpours. If driving, use extra caution on the I-5 and I-10 freeways. Stay updated on local alerts through the National Weather Service.
