Indianapolis, IN – A slow-moving storm is bringing heavy rain and pea-sized hail to the eastern parts of the Indianapolis metro area.

This severe weather is leading to localized flooding and hazardous road conditions. Authorities advise residents to avoid driving through water-covered roadways, as even shallow water can pose serious risks.

According to local weather reports, the storm is accompanied by gusty winds of up to 30 mph. The primary concern, however, is the pea-sized hail, which can cause damage to vehicles and property. The hail and heavy rainfall are expected to continue throughout the day, increasing the likelihood of flash flooding in low-lying areas.
