Houston, TX – Hazy skies and high temperatures are set to dominate the weather in Southeast Texas through the end of the week and into the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Houston-Galveston, temperatures tonight will drop to the mid-to-upper 70s, with areas like Conroe and Huntsville experiencing haze. Thursday will see a significant rise in temperatures, with highs expected to reach the mid-90s across the region. Areas such as College Station and Huntsville could see temperatures peaking at 96°F.
The haze is forecasted to persist into Thursday night, with lows remaining in the mid-to-upper 70s. The hot and humid conditions will continue through Friday, with high temperatures reaching up to 100°F in some areas. Houston and Galveston will see temperatures in the mid-to-upper 90s, accompanied by the ongoing haze.
Residents are advised to take precautions against the heat and haze, including staying hydrated and limiting outdoor activities during peak heat hours. The NWS also advises those with respiratory conditions to stay indoors as much as possible to avoid exposure to the haze.
Looking ahead to the weekend, the hot and humid weather is expected to persist. Saturday’s temperatures will rise slightly, with highs reaching 97°F in Houston. The pattern of hot days and warm nights will continue, with overnight lows in the upper 70s.
Sunday will offer no respite from the heat, with temperatures remaining in the high 90s.
