Hastings, NE – Residents across central Nebraska are waking up to chilly fall weather today, with temperatures expected to stay below seasonal averages through Saturday before a major warm-up arrives by the end of the weekend.

According to the US National Weather Service Hastings NE, highs on Friday and Saturday will range from the mid-40s to mid-50s, with lows dipping into the 20s and low 30s overnight. A few light sprinkles or flurries are possible late Friday night, though chances remain below 20% and no accumulation is expected.

By Sunday, a shift in the weather pattern will bring a welcome rebound in temperatures, with highs climbing into the 60s to low 70s under mostly sunny skies. The pleasant trend should continue into early next week, with Monday forecast to reach the upper 50s to low 60s.

Residents are advised to bundle up for tonight’s cold and protect sensitive plants from frost. Despite the chill, clear skies and warming temperatures by Sunday promise a pleasant wrap-up to the Halloween weekend.
