Hastings, Nebraska – Warmer temperatures are expected across central Nebraska through early next week, with daytime highs climbing well above recent levels, according to the National Weather Service in Hastings.
In a community weather update posted Wednesday, the National Weather Service said high temperatures will mostly range through the 50s and 60s, with some locations approaching near 70 degrees by early next week. Overnight lows are forecast to remain milder as well, generally in the 20s and 30s.
Forecast graphics show Thursday highs between 60 and 69 degrees, followed by upper 40s to low 60s Friday. Temperatures are expected to remain mild through the weekend, with highs in the low to mid-60s Saturday, rising again to the mid to upper 60s Sunday and Monday.
The warming trend follows a colder stretch across the region and coincides with generally dry conditions, though no advisories or warnings were included with the update.
The National Weather Service noted that the warmer pattern is expected to persist into early next week, offering a noticeable shift from winterlike temperatures seen earlier.
