Hastings, Neb. – Central Nebraska could see scattered thunderstorms tonight through Monday morning as a weak system brings small but persistent storm chances. The National Weather Service in Hastings says the risk of storms ranges from 15 to 35 percent, with the strongest chance overnight into early Monday.
According to the agency, winds will remain out of the south at 5 to 15 mph tonight, keeping overnight lows mild in the upper 50s to low 60s. By Monday, highs will reach the mid-70s to mid-80s with another 15 to 35 percent chance of showers and storms, mainly in the afternoon and evening.
The risk shifts again Tuesday night and Wednesday night, though storm chances drop to around 15 to 30 percent. Daytime hours are expected to stay mostly dry, with partly cloudy skies and rising heat. Highs Tuesday will climb to the low and upper 80s, while Wednesday may push into the mid to upper 80s with south to southeast winds.
