Hastings, NE – After a chilly start to the week, pleasant fall weather has returned across central Nebraska, with temperatures climbing well above normal through the end of the week, according to the National Weather Service in Hastings.
Forecasters say Tuesday’s highs will reach the mid-60s to lower 70s, about 10–15 degrees above seasonal averages. The region will stay mostly sunny and dry through Saturday, providing ideal conditions for outdoor plans and fieldwork. Overnight lows will remain crisp, dipping into the 30s and low 40s.
“Nice fall weather is expected to continue through at least Saturday,” the NWS said, noting that a small chance for rain could arrive late in the weekend as temperatures cool back into the 50s by Sunday and early next week.
Winds will stay light through midweek before shifting southwest late Thursday, keeping the warm pattern in place a bit longer.
Residents can expect dry roads, sunny skies, and mild afternoons through much of the workweek — a welcome break following last week’s cold snap.
