Hastings, NE – The National Weather Service in Hastings is warning residents to prepare for foggy conditions through Sunday morning, with visibility possibly reduced into the afternoon hours.
According to forecasters, there’s a 15% to near 60% chance of rain on Monday, with a 15% to 30% chance of showers continuing into Tuesday. Winds are expected to shift throughout the period, ranging from southeast on Sunday to northwest early in the week, then back to northeast by Wednesday.
High temperatures from Sunday through Wednesday will generally stay cool—ranging from the low 50s to low 60s—as autumn weather settles firmly across the region. Overnight lows will remain in the upper 40s to low 50s, keeping conditions damp and chilly at times.
Drivers are urged to use caution during Sunday morning’s fog, especially in rural and low-lying areas where visibility may quickly drop below a quarter mile.
The National Weather Service advises residents to stay alert for updated forecasts and potential travel advisories if fog persists into midday.
