Sheriff James August said the search occurred on the 1700 block of Birch Drive in the Hartsville area on January 9, 2026. The operation involved the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), the Darlington County Combined Drug Unit, and the county’s Special Incident Response Team (SIRT), along with Hartsville City Police.
During the search, investigators recovered the marijuana and firearm as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
As a result, Traquez Coe was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, officials confirmed. Coe is currently being held in the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
