Katy, TX – Deputies with Harris County Precinct 5 responded Friday evening to a shooting on the 21600 block of Park Brook Drive, near South Mason Road in Katy.
According to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, arriving deputies found an adult male who had been shot in front of a residence by another man. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
One male suspect has been detained, Gonzalez said. No additional details about the suspect or the circumstances leading to the shooting were immediately released.
Crime Scene Unit and homicide detectives with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office are en route to the scene to continue the investigation.
Authorities have not released the identity of the victim pending family notification.
