According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, the incident happened Saturday, November 22, 2025, at approximately 11:55 p.m. along the 6600 block of Addicks Satsuma Road.

Investigators said the victim, identified as Jose Escobar-Ferix, was walking northbound along the right side of the roadway when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver did not stop to render aid and fled the scene.

Authorities believe the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored Dodge Charger or Dodge Challenger that continued northbound on Addicks Satsuma Road after the crash. Mr. Escobar-Ferix later succumbed to his injuries.

The crash occurred in west Harris County, part of the greater Houston metro area, and remains under active investigation. Deputies released a photo of the victim as part of their effort to generate leads and encourage witnesses to come forward.
