Harris County, TX – A Golf Club of Houston employee was arrested Friday after deputies linked him to a series of golf cart thefts and property damage incidents in the Humble area earlier this month.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), several golf carts were stolen from the Golf Club of Houston, located at 5860 Wilson Rd., and later used to commit felony criminal mischief on October 16 and October 18, 2025. The suspects allegedly damaged landscaping, golf carts, and Halloween decorations in the nearby Fall Creek subdivision.

Through an investigation by the HCSO Pro-Active Auto Theft Unit and District 2 Patrol, authorities identified a suspect as Eric Collins, 24, an employee of the golf club. On October 23, deputies made contact with Collins and took him into custody on open warrants related to the case.

HCSO officials said two additional felony charges—theft and criminal mischief—were accepted against Collins. He was booked into the Harris County Jail following his arrest.

The sheriff’s office continues to encourage residents with additional information or video footage from the Fall Creek area to contact investigators.
