According to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, the operation was conducted by the Patrol Days A Squad between 10 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to promote safer travel in high-traffic areas.
Deputies conducted 42 traffic stops, issuing 39 warnings and 10 citations. Violations included speeding, speeding in a manned work zone, illegal U-turns, and hands-free law violations.
The Sheriff’s Office reminded drivers that Indiana’s Work Zone Safety Law carries steep penalties, including:

Officials encouraged motorists to stay alert, especially near work zones and intersections with heavy traffic flow. The department said it remains committed to reducing crashes and protecting both drivers and road crews through proactive enforcement and education.
