According to the NWS, there is a 60-70% chance of thunderstorms in the risk area near the South Dakota border, with a 5-15% chance of any individual storm being severe. Residents are advised to prepare for large hail, potentially damaging winds, and locally heavy rainfall.
The extended forecast shows a continued chance of showers and thunderstorms through Saturday. Today’s high will range from 78 to 87 degrees, with partly sunny skies expected elsewhere. Friday’s temperatures will rise, reaching highs of 88 to 92 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms are forecasted at a 20-40% chance.
On Saturday, the high will be between 85 and 92 degrees, with a 20-50% chance of rain. By Sunday, dry weather is anticipated, with temperatures ranging from 85 to 91 degrees. Monday will bring sunny skies, with temperatures soaring to a high of 91 to 97 degrees.
