Danville, IL – A 30-year-old Danville man is in serious condition following an early morning shooting on Tuesday in the city’s east side. The incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. on the 1100 block of Chandler Street, where Danville Police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire in the area.
According to the Danville Police Department, officers arrived on the scene and discovered several shell casings scattered across the roadway. They subsequently located the victim seated in a white vehicle on the 1300 block of Chandler Street, suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently listed in serious condition.
Witnesses reported hearing numerous gunshots and observed a dark vehicle fleeing the scene immediately after the shooting.
