Lake Charles, LA – A foggy start to the day is impacting parts of southeast Texas and Louisiana, but a much warmer and drier pattern is settling in for the days ahead.

The National Weather Service has issued a Dense Fog Advisory through 9 AM, with visibility dropping below ¼ mile in some areas. Drivers are urged to slow down, use low-beam headlights, and consider delaying travel until conditions improve.

The fog will burn off quickly after sunrise, giving way to sunshine and pleasant temperatures. Highs today will range from the mid-70s to mid-80s.

Looking ahead, the forecast turns consistently warm and dry:

  • Saturday–Tuesday: Highs climb into the mid-80s to upper 80s
  • Rain chances: Near 0% through early next week
  • Winds: Generally light out of the south or southwest

Marine conditions remain relatively calm, with seas around 1–2 feet and light winds through the weekend.

Overall, after this morning’s visibility issues, the region is in for a stretch of classic spring warmth with summer-like sunshine and no significant rain in sight.
