Greensboro, NC – A Greensboro man was fatally shot Friday night, and another man is now facing murder charges, according to the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Danny H. Rogers reported that deputies responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. on September 19, 2025, in the 4100 block of Starling Court. When they arrived, they found 44-year-old Tyrus Devon Davis dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

According to deputies, 29-year-old Dex-Shone Quinnashea Miles allegedly fired the fatal shot following an altercation with Davis in the roadway. Officials said Miles called 911 himself after the incident.

Miles was arrested at the scene and charged with felony second-degree murder. Authorities confirmed he is being held at the Guilford County Detention Center in Greensboro without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, September 22, 2025, at 2 p.m.
