Morris, IL – Two men are recuperating after their aggressive pursuit ended in self-defense wounds.
According to police reports the incident unfolded in Morris, where a 36-year-old man sought to diffuse a bar dispute by retreating to his East Chapin Street home. Undeterred, his two aggressors, determined to escalate the situation, followed. Their attack, however, was met with swift self-defense as the resident, cornered and outnumbered, employed a pocket knife to protect himself, injuring both assailants.
Transported to Morris Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the attackers’ plan dramatically backfired.
No arrests have been made as the investigation continues, with early evidence pointing towards justified self-defense.
