According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, the county’s Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit carried out the arrests after seizing large quantities of cocaine and methamphetamine.
Deputies said 29-year-old Kaleb J. Merritt was arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine in amounts of 400 grams or more. Two others, 24-year-old Bryan A. Rios Flores and 27-year-old Gerardo Magana Mora, were arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine in amounts of 400 grams or more.
Investigators reported recovering 7,674 grams (16.92 pounds) of cocaine and 20,115 grams (44.35 pounds) of methamphetamine during the operation.
The Sheriff’s Office noted the enforcement action was a joint effort involving the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, Greenville Police Department, Greer Police Department, Mauldin Police Department, Simpsonville Police Department, Fountain Inn Police Department, and the Travelers Rest Police Department.
