According to the sheriff’s office, Delta Platoon deputies conducted a lawful traffic stop on East Butler Road in Mauldin over the weekend. During the stop, deputies allegedly located and seized a significant quantity of illegal narcotics and a stolen gun, removing what officials described as a dangerous threat from the community.

Authorities reported the following items were recovered during the stop:

  • Approximately 73.78 grams of fentanyl
  • 41.91 grams of methamphetamine
  • 113 Schedule II pills
  • 30 Schedule IV pills
  • One stolen firearm

As a result of the investigation, John Clyde Henderson was charged with multiple offenses, including trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II and Schedule IV narcotics, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Henderson was also charged with driving under suspension, third offense.

A second suspect, Kendriana Christen Amick, was also charged with trafficking fentanyl, trafficking methamphetamine, and possession with intent to distribute Schedule II and Schedule IV narcotics, according to deputies.

Officials emphasized that all charges are allegations, and both suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
