Greenland, NH – Commuters in the Portsmouth-area Seacoast corridor faced brief delays early today after a rollover crash and foot chase shut down a lane on Interstate 95 in Greenland, Rockingham County.
According to New Hampshire State Police, Troopers from Troop A responded at 12:52 a.m. Sunday, November 2, 2025, to a single-vehicle rollover within an active construction zone on I-95 northbound near mile marker 10.8. Troopers found an unoccupied white 2018 Range Rover Velar in the center median.
Preliminary findings indicate the Range Rover was traveling north on I-95 when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver allegedly lost control, crossed the center median, rolled into the southbound lanes, and came to rest in the median. The driver allegedly fled on foot into the woods on the southbound side.
State Police requested the K-9 Unit and Special Enforcement Unit. At 1:53 a.m., units located a man walking on a utility access road adjacent to I-95 and took him into custody. He was identified as Oliver Denelle, 26, of Narragansett, Rhode Island.
Denelle was arrested on charges of reckless conduct, reckless operation, conduct after an accident, resisting arrest, and operating without a valid license. He was held on preventive detention at the Rockingham County Jail pending an arraignment in Portsmouth District Court scheduled for Monday, November 3, 2025.
One lane was closed for about 30 minutes while the vehicle was removed. Greenland police and fire, North Hampton Police, Newington Police, Portsmouth Police, the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, and NHDOT assisted on scene.
