Greenland, NH — Two people sustained serious injuries in a head-on crash that temporarily closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 95 on Wednesday. The collision occurred just after 6 p.m., when a vehicle traveling on the northbound side crossed the median and struck another vehicle heading south.
According to New Hampshire State Police, both drivers were the sole occupants of their vehicles. Each was transported to Portsmouth Regional Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed. Police are withholding the names of the drivers. Anyone with information is asked to contact Trooper Patrick Vetter at (603) 271-3636.
