Greene County, MO – A suspect wanted in connection with the Oct. 19 Club Rodeo shooting is now in custody following a multi-agency search effort involving K9 units, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Webster County deputies arrived at the suspect’s residence Wednesday afternoon to execute an arrest related to the shooting. When they arrived, the suspect, identified as Zachary Degraffenreid, allegedly fled on foot. Deputies from Greene County and K9 teams joined in to assist with the search.

According to Sheriff Arnott, Deputy Hook and K9 Drax located Degraffenreid hiding in a drainage culvert. After being challenged by the K9, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without further incident.

“This arrest was the result of great teamwork between law enforcement agencies to take a dangerous criminal into custody,” Sheriff Arnott said in a statement.

Authorities have not yet released additional details about the shooting incident or pending charges, but the investigation remains ongoing.
