Springfield, MO – Authorities in Greene County are asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects who fled deputies over the weekend after a stolen vehicle pursuit.

According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, deputies assisted Republic Police on Friday, Sept. 12, in searching for suspects tied to a stolen truck. On Saturday, Sept. 13, deputies located the vehicle abandoned at the Walmart parking lot near Glenstone Avenue and Kearney Street in Springfield. When officers approached, the suspects—identified as Jonathon Rodman and Caleb Ashley—allegedly jumped into the truck and fled.

Deputies reported the pursuit continued through multiple parking lots and neighborhoods before the stolen vehicle became disabled. Both suspects then ran from the scene.

Residents across Greene County later reported sightings of men matching the suspects’ descriptions. In one case, a caller told deputies a suspect attempted to break into a home. Authorities said the suspects evaded capture by fleeing into a large excavated area near Talmage Avenue and Benton Avenue.

Rodman and Ashley face charges in Greene County for alleged tampering, property damage, and resisting arrest. Additional felony charges have been filed by Springfield and Republic police departments.

The Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone who encounters the suspects to immediately call 911. Tips can also be reported anonymously through the GCSO Crime Tip Hotline at 417-829-6230 or via the department’s mobile app.
