Green Bay, Wisconsin Weather Alert Now: 28°F Snow and Highway 29 Travel Concerns Today

Light snow drifts across Lambeau Field this morning, dusting cars and turning sidewalks slick in minutes. Temperatures hover near 20 degrees under gray skies. Roads look wet, but patches of ice hide in shaded areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, snow will continue at times through today with highs near 28 degrees. Northwest winds between 11 and 14 mph, gusting to 29 mph, will keep wind chills in the teens. While totals remain under an inch for most neighborhoods, even light accumulation can create slippery travel.

Drivers along Highway 41 and Highway 29 should allow extra braking distance. Bridges and overpasses freeze first. With lows dropping near 12 degrees tonight, any melting will refreeze quickly. Flash freezing becomes more likely after sunset as temperatures fall.

Monday brings partial sunshine and a high near 24. Clouds return Monday night with lows near 14. The next organized system arrives Tuesday. Snow is likely, with highs around 32 degrees and additional accumulation possible, especially north of Highway 29.

By Wednesday, skies clear and highs reach near 30. Another chance of snow arrives Wednesday night into Thursday before gradual moderation begins. Highs climb into the mid-40s by Friday.

The 6- to 10-day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across northeast Wisconsin. Early spring vibes may develop heading into next weekend as highs trend milder.
