Wisconsin – Wet pavement shines under streetlights this morning as light rain mixes with flakes, clinging to curbs and windshields. The air feels damp and brisk, and conditions are already setting the stage for slippery travel as winter tightens its grip across northeast Wisconsin.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, rain and snow continue through the morning hours, with bursts of heavier wet snow possible north and east of the Fox Valley. An additional 1 to 2 inches of accumulation is expected in parts of northeast Wisconsin, where a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect. Farther south and west, rain dominates, raising concerns for minor flooding, ice jams, and rising streams.

In the Green Bay area, temperatures hover in the mid-30s today before cooling tonight. As moisture lingers, patchy fog may reduce visibility, especially near rivers and low-lying roads. Drivers along Highway 41 and local connectors should plan extra time and watch for slushy stretches that can refreeze after dark.

Snow chances increase again Saturday into Saturday night as another system moves in. Light to moderate snow could add another 1 to 2 inches, with steady flakes at times and reduced visibility. Roads may deteriorate quickly, particularly after sunset. By Sunday, clouds linger and temperatures settle near 30 degrees, keeping untreated surfaces slick.

Looking ahead to early next week, quieter weather arrives with colder nights. Any daytime melting may refreeze, raising black ice concerns during morning commutes. Winter warnings may be updated as systems evolve.
