Green Bay, WI – Winter weather is set to impact Green Bay throughout the week, with multiple rounds of snow, freezing rain, and gusty winds creating hazardous travel conditions. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until Monday at noon, with roads already slick from freezing drizzle and snowfall.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow mixed with freezing rain will continue overnight, transitioning to all snow before sunrise. Accumulations of one to three inches are possible, with higher totals expected north of Highway 29. Winds out of the north at 6-13 mph, with gusts up to 22 mph, could reduce visibility and create blowing snow hazards.

Looking Ahead: Snow, Ice, and Bitter Cold

Monday will see snow tapering off by 11 a.m., with temperatures falling throughout the day to a low of 10°F Monday night. Northwest winds will continue at 5-13 mph, with gusts reaching 20 mph.

Tuesday brings increasing clouds and frigid temperatures, with highs near 20°F. Winds will shift to the northeast at 6-11 mph, making it feel even colder. By Tuesday night, lows drop to 14°F under mostly cloudy skies.

Major Storm Expected Wednesday Night

A stronger winter storm arrives Wednesday evening, bringing a 100% chance of snow and freezing rain. Snow will begin before 9 p.m., followed by a mix of freezing rain and snow overnight. Road conditions will deteriorate quickly, especially on major highways like I-41 and Highway 29.

Thursday will remain cold but drier, with partly sunny skies and a high near 29°F. However, overnight lows will plunge to 4°F, keeping icy conditions on untreated roads.

Drivers should allow extra travel time and check 511 for updated road conditions. Stay tuned for additional updates as winter weather continues to impact the region.
