GREEN BAY, WI – Snow blankets driveways and glistens under streetlights this morning as winds sweep across the Fox Valley, rattling signs and coating cars in a fresh layer of slush. Drivers heading out early face slick roads, blowing snow, and freezing air as another Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect through 3 PM Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, snow will taper by late morning, but 1–2 inches of accumulation and gusts near 35 mph will continue to reduce visibility, especially on I-43 and Highway 41 between Manitowoc and Green Bay. Travelers are urged to slow down, allow extra braking distance, and keep emergency kits in their vehicles.

Temperatures hold near 27°F with wind chills in the teens. Conditions will briefly calm tonight before another weak system arrives late Monday, bringing another chance for light snow and reinforcing the region’s early-winter chill. Meteorologists note that colder air filtering in behind this system could create flash-freeze conditions on untreated surfaces by Tuesday morning.

Through midweek, highs remain stuck in the 20s to near 30°F, with the next significant system possibly targeting Wisconsin by Friday or Saturday, bringing a renewed snow chance for early December travelers.

Five-Day Outlook (Green Bay Area)

  • Wednesday: High near 29°F, snow possible late.
  • Thursday: Mostly cloudy, highs upper 20s.
