Green Bay, WI – A winter storm that moved through Wisconsin late Tuesday into Wednesday morning dropped several inches of snow across central and eastern parts of the state, creating slick morning commutes and widespread travel impacts.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the heaviest snow totals were observed from Marshfield to Chilton, where 7 inches or more were reported. Most locations across the region saw between 4 and 6 inches.
Here are some of the top snowfall reports as of Wednesday morning:
- Marshfield: 7.1”
- Chilton: 7.0”
- Plover: 6.7”
- Appleton: 6.2”
- Two Rivers: 5.8”

The NWS noted that the snowfall band stretched across a broad area from central Wisconsin into the Fox Valley, producing steady accumulations overnight before tapering off early Wednesday. A few locations within that zone reported localized totals near 7 inches, especially where snow bands lingered the longest.
Roads remained snow-covered and slippery through the morning, and plow crews worked throughout the day to improve conditions. Forecasters expect quieter weather through Thursday before another system brings a chance of light snow by the weekend.
