Green Bay, WI – Light snow is expected to move into central Wisconsin tonight and continue spreading east overnight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Green Bay. Snowfall totals of 1–2 inches are likely from Wisconsin Rapids to Two Rivers, with untreated roads, bridges, and sidewalks becoming slippery.
According to NWS forecasters, travel impacts should remain minor through Monday, but a series of additional snow rounds are expected to follow. Light snow will taper off Sunday before returning along the lakeshore Monday afternoon. Another, potentially stronger winter system may impact the state Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing light to moderate snow and a possible wintry mix around the Fox Valley.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution tonight as visibilities may drop at times. Roads may become snow-covered, particularly south of central Wisconsin. While Sunday conditions are expected to improve, NWS Green Bay advises residents to “keep your shovel handy,” with more snow expected early next week.
Forecast models suggest the heaviest snow may arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday, though confidence in timing and totals remains low. The agency recommends checking the latest updates before making travel plans.
