Green Bay, Wis. – Residents across northern and western Wisconsin should prepare for another chilly night as patchy frost develops under mostly clear skies and calm winds. Temperatures are expected to dip into the low 30s in some rural areas, posing a risk to gardens and late-season crops.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, highs Sunday will reach between 57 and 65 degrees, slightly warmer than Saturday but still below seasonal norms. Tonight’s lows will range from 33 to 43 degrees, cold enough for frost to form, particularly in low-lying and sheltered areas outside the Fox Valley.
Communities such as Rhinelander, Wausau, and Shawano may see frost develop before sunrise Monday. Gardeners and growers are advised to cover sensitive plants or bring them indoors to avoid damage. Motorists in rural stretches could also encounter reduced visibility from ground fog near daybreak.
Conditions are expected to moderate slightly by midweek, though chilly nights will linger. The National Weather Service says additional frost advisories are possible if clear skies and calm winds persist.
