Green Bay, WI – Periods of light snow combined with gusty winds are expected to create slippery driving conditions across the Green Bay area today and into Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, light snow will persist at times through Thursday, with snow amounts generally ranging from a dusting to around one-half inch for most locations. A few slightly higher totals are possible in parts of central Wisconsin.

Winds are expected to gust up to 30 mph, which may lead to minor blowing and drifting snow, especially on north–south oriented roads and open areas. While snowfall amounts are limited, brief reductions in visibility and snow-covered patches may develop quickly.

Road conditions could become slick at times on Interstate 41, Interstate 43, U.S. Highway 29, and local roadways, particularly during heavier snow bursts this afternoon and early evening. Untreated roads, bridges, and overpasses are most susceptible to icing and snow accumulation.

The National Weather Service said a few snow showers or flurries may linger into Thursday afternoon, though impacts are expected to remain minor. Still, drivers should remain alert for changing conditions.

Commuters, students, and delivery drivers are advised to slow down, allow extra stopping distance, and watch for snowy or slippery spots, especially during peak travel periods.
