Green Bay, WI – Severe weather is anticipated on Friday, with two rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected to sweep through the area.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, the first round of storms is forecasted to arrive Friday morning. While this initial wave is not expected to be severe, it will set the stage for a more intense second round. The second wave of storms is predicted to move in later in the afternoon and continue into the evening, ahead of an occluded front and upper-level disturbance.

This second round of storms carries a significant risk of severe weather, particularly south of Highway 29. The primary threats include large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rainfall. The National Weather Service has highlighted a marginal risk for these severe conditions, emphasizing the need for residents to remain vigilant.

Locally heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, and strong winds may cause damage to property and power lines. Hail can also pose a risk to vehicles and crops. Residents are advised to secure outdoor items and stay indoors during the storms.
