Green Bay, WI – The National Weather Service in Green Bay is warning residents to prepare for a wet and windy weekend as multiple rounds of rain and isolated thunderstorms move across northeast Wisconsin.
According to the NWS, showers will increase late Friday night, with the heaviest rain and strongest winds expected Saturday night through early Sunday. While storms are not expected to be severe, locally heavy rainfall and gusts up to 35 mph could cause brief travel impacts, especially along the east-central lakeshore.
Temperatures will climb well above normal Friday, with highs near 70–75°F, before falling back into the 50s by Sunday as cooler air settles in behind the system. Rain is expected to taper off early Sunday, but blustery northwest winds will persist through midday.
Residents should plan for wet roads and reduced visibility during heavier showers and secure outdoor items ahead of gusty winds. Conditions are expected to improve Sunday afternoon into Monday.
