Green Bay, Wis. – Thunderstorms are expected to fire up across north-central Wisconsin tonight, with rain chances expanding further into northeast parts of the state by Tuesday. Evening lows will hold in the 50s, keeping conditions milder than recent nights.

According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, isolated storms will first develop north of Wausau and Rhinelander before shifting toward the Fox Valley, including Oshkosh, Appleton, and Green Bay, by Tuesday. While widespread severe weather is not anticipated, pockets of heavy rain and thunder could slow travel late tonight into the morning commute.

Residents in Wisconsin Rapids, Wausaukee, and Manitowoc should prepare for on-and-off showers overnight. Drivers are advised to watch for slick roads in spots where heavier rain develops. With more storms possible Tuesday, outdoor plans across central and eastern Wisconsin may face delays.

Storm chances will continue through Tuesday evening, with gradual clearing expected midweek. Additional alerts may be issued if storms intensify.
