Green Bay, Wis. – Isolated sprinkles and pop-up showers are on tap for Sunday, but stronger storms could hit parts of Wisconsin by late Monday, kicking off an unsettled week of weather across the region.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, there’s a daily chance for thunderstorms through at least Thursday, though not all areas will see rain each day. Monday afternoon and evening could bring the first round of stronger storms, with potential for localized heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning.
Green Bay, Appleton, and Wausau may see scattered storms develop by late Monday, especially along and south of Highway 29. Tuesday through Thursday will bring warmer highs in the low 80s, but afternoon storms could disrupt outdoor plans, particularly in central and eastern counties.
Forecasters caution that the timing and strength of each day’s storms are still uncertain. Residents should stay weather-aware and have alerts enabled on mobile devices, especially during the afternoon and evening hours.
Rain-cooled air could keep temperatures below forecast highs in storm-hit areas. Additional updates will be issued if Monday’s storms strengthen or watches are posted.
