Green Bay, Wis. – Rain and a few thunderstorms will move through east-central Wisconsin this morning before skies clear for a dry late morning and afternoon. According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, a second round of storms could develop late this afternoon into early evening, with a few isolated cells capable of producing strong or severe winds. Widespread severe weather is not expected.
Once storms pass, conditions will turn dry and comfortable through midweek, though smoke from Canadian wildfires could drift into the region Wednesday, bringing hazy skies and reduced air quality for some. Humidity levels will remain low under partly sunny skies Thursday.
Drivers are urged to watch for slick roads during any heavier downpours today and to limit outdoor activity if smoke levels increase midweek. The next organized chance for rain won’t arrive until late Friday, when showers and possibly more thunderstorms could move into the area.
