Green Bay, Wis. – Residents across Wisconsin can expect a mostly calm stretch of weather heading into Labor Day weekend, with only a brief chance of rain today across central parts of the state. The National Weather Service in Green Bay said some fog could develop late tonight, becoming dense in spots by early Saturday morning.

According to forecasters, temperatures will slowly climb back into the 70s on Saturday under partly sunny skies, with morning fog giving way to drier conditions. By Sunday, most of the state will see highs in the upper 70s to near 80, and a few of the warmest locations may touch 80 degrees again on Labor Day.

Travelers should use caution early Saturday, as fog may reduce visibility on highways including I-39 and U.S. 10. Otherwise, no major hazards are expected through the holiday. Sunny afternoons and warm evenings will make for favorable conditions at lakes, campgrounds, and outdoor events.

The quiet weather pattern is expected to continue into early next week, with only minor variations in temperature.
