Green Bay, WI – Northern and central Wisconsin will see their first snowflakes of the season this weekend as colder air sweeps across the region, bringing scattered snow showers and a few slick spots.

According to the US National Weather Service Green Bay, the best chance for snow accumulation will occur in north-central Wisconsin and northern Door County, where lake effect snow off Lake Superior could create light coatings on grassy surfaces and potentially snow-covered roads at times.

For most areas, snow will begin late Saturday and continue through Sunday, with light flurries or brief snow showers expected elsewhere. Accumulations are expected to remain light—generally under an inch—but roads in higher elevations or near the lake could become slippery during heavier bursts.

Forecasters note that this system marks the start of a more wintry pattern for mid-November, with colder temperatures likely to linger into early next week. Drivers are urged to use caution on untreated roads, especially during early morning and evening travel hours.
