Green Bay, WI – A cool start to the week is giving way to a rapid warm-up across northeast Wisconsin, with temperatures climbing into the 70s by Tuesday and peaking ahead of a round of storms expected Thursday afternoon into the night.
According to the National Weather Service in Green Bay, Monday highs will remain limited to 46–57°F under increasing cloud cover, but a significant temperature jump follows. Highs reach 62–75°F Tuesday and hold in the upper 50s to mid-70s Wednesday across cities including Appleton, Oshkosh, and Green Bay.
By Thursday, temperatures rise further to between 65°F and 79°F before thunderstorms develop after 3 PM and continue into the evening. The timing could affect travel along major corridors including I-41 and Highway 29, especially during the evening commute. A few storms may bring brief heavy rain and gusty winds.
Conditions turn cooler again Friday, with highs dropping back to 59–65°F and a lingering chance of showers, particularly near Lake Michigan where cooler air will dominate.
Residents should prepare for changing conditions through the week, taking advantage of dry, warmer weather midweek while staying alert for potential storm impacts Thursday evening. Additional updates are expected as storm timing becomes more precise.
