Boston, MA – Warm and humid conditions will return to Massachusetts early this week, with the potential for thunderstorms Tuesday night and scattered showers lingering into midweek.

According to the National Weather Service Boston, temperatures will climb into the upper 70s Monday and Tuesday, bringing summerlike warmth back to the region. A cold front moving through late Tuesday could trigger scattered showers and a few thunderstorms, particularly overnight.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for cooler air in the mid-60s to mid-70s with lingering showers possible. Forecasters caution that another round of rain could develop Thursday or Friday as unsettled conditions persist.

Daily highs are expected to reach 71–77°F on Monday, 77–84°F Tuesday, 67–75°F Wednesday, and 66–73°F Thursday, according to the weather service. Overnight lows will range from the low 50s to mid-60s.

The return of humidity may make conditions feel uncomfortable at times, particularly Tuesday afternoon and evening. Commuters and travelers should be prepared for possible slowdowns if storms develop during the evening hours.

The weather service notes that forecasts may shift as the week progresses and encourages residents to monitor updates for potential changes in timing and intensity of showers.
