Montesano, WA – Grays Harbor County deputies are investigating after a person was found deceased on a beach just north of the Damon Road beach approach Wednesday morning. According to the Grays Harbor Sheriff’s Office, the call came in around 8:30 a.m. on November 20, reporting an individual lying facedown on the shoreline.
Deputies arrived and located the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released identifying information and say the case remains in the early stages of investigation.
The sheriff’s office noted that investigators have found no link between this death and a separate fatal incident that occurred in October in the same general area. At this time, authorities emphasized that there is no threat to the public.
Additional details—including identity, cause of death and timeline—will be released once investigators gather more information and notify next of kin. Detectives are working to determine the circumstances that led to the individual being found on the beach.
The department thanked the community for its patience as the investigation moves forward.
