Aberdeen, WA – A large multi-agency drug investigation in Grays Harbor County resulted in the arrest of an Aberdeen man Wednesday after detectives allegedly recovered suspected fentanyl and a firearm from a residence on Karjala Road.

According to the Grays Harbor Drug Task Force (DTF), investigators executed a search and arrest warrant at a home in the 6300 block of Karjala Road in Aberdeen following an ongoing narcotics investigation. Detectives said they had previously conducted several controlled buys of illegal drugs from the location before moving forward with the warrant.

Authorities reported that the primary suspect, a 39-year-old Aberdeen man, was arrested for three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, one count of possession with intent to distribute, and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm. Officials said the individual is a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing firearms.

During the search, investigators allegedly recovered approximately 32 grams of suspected fentanyl along with a pistol. The man was booked into the Grays Harbor County Jail.

DTF officials noted the operation included support from the Grays Harbor County Sheriff’s Office, Aberdeen Police Department, Hoquiam Police Department, and additional deputies and officers. Investigators said the collaboration underscores the importance of shared resources and specialized personnel in addressing drug activity throughout Grays Harbor County and surrounding communities.

Residents with additional information related to the investigation are encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
