Grant County, WA – Drivers near Moses Lake are facing delays this morning as a crash cleanup and utility repairs force lane closures on Road M-NE and Road 9-NE.

According to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, one or both lanes remain closed while a tow crew recovers a vehicle from an earlier minor injury collision. At the same time, Grant PUD crews are on site repairing a damaged utility pole caused during the incident.

The sheriff’s office advised motorists to expect backups and take alternative routes if possible. Crews are working to reopen the roadway, but updates on the collision and road status are not expected until closer to noon.

The minor injury crash occurred earlier Monday in a rural area east of Moses Lake, affecting both local residents and commuters using the route. Emergency responders confirmed that injuries were not life-threatening.

Authorities said the primary concern now is safely removing the vehicle and restoring power infrastructure. Drivers traveling between Moses Lake and surrounding areas, including Ephrata and Quincy, may experience longer travel times while the closures remain in effect.

Motorists are encouraged to check for updates before heading out and allow extra travel time during the morning commute.
