Grand Junction, CO – Western Colorado is in for a stretch of warm, dry fall weather through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction.

Forecasters say temperatures will warm to near seasonal averages today, then rise an additional five degrees Thursday as a ridge of high pressure strengthens over the Rocky Mountains. Afternoon highs will trend slightly above normal heading into the weekend.

The region will enjoy mostly sunny skies with only a few mid- to high-level clouds expected late Friday into Saturday. No precipitation is forecast, and dry conditions are expected to continue into early next week.

The weather service notes that this mild stretch offers a welcome break from early-season chill, providing ideal conditions for outdoor activities and late fall travel across western Colorado.
