GRAND JUNCTION, CO – The National Weather Service in Grand Junction reports that high pressure will settle over the western U.S. this weekend, bringing dry and unseasonably mild weather to much of western Colorado.
Temperatures will run 10 to 15 degrees above normal for mid-December, with highs mainly in the 50s for lower valleys and 40s in the mountains.
Skies will remain partly to mostly sunny, with only passing mid and high clouds expected through the weekend. No significant precipitation is anticipated.
Residents and travelers can expect pleasant daytime conditions, though overnight lows will still dip below freezing in most mountain areas.
