Grand Junction, CO – Western Colorado will see improving conditions Friday as skies clear following Thursday’s storm, according to the US National Weather Service Grand Junction, Colorado. High pressure building over the region will bring abundant sunshine and quiet weather through Saturday before another system moves in late Sunday.

Temperatures will remain near normal today, reaching the 50s to low 60s, then climb a few degrees above average Saturday under mostly sunny skies. South of I-70, breezy westerly winds are expected Saturday with gusts between 30 and 40 mph.

By Sunday, clouds will increase across the area, with valley rain and mountain snow showers likely north of I-70. Cooler temperatures and gusty winds will accompany this next round of unsettled weather.

Forecasters say this weekend offers a short window of warm, sunny weather before another fall storm system arrives to end the weekend on a cooler, breezier note.
