Grand Junction, CO – Western Colorado residents are enjoying a mild and mostly sunny Thanksgiving Day, with temperatures running nearly 10 degrees above average, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction.

High pressure continues to dominate the region, keeping skies mostly clear and winds light. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the mid-50s in Grand Junction, Moab, and Durango, while Steamboat Springs will stay cooler in the mid-40s under partly cloudy skies. Vernal, Utah, will also see a pleasant high near 48°F.

Forecasters note that while most of the region will enjoy abundant sunshine, northwest Colorado may experience some afternoon cloud cover. No rain or snow is expected, making for ideal conditions for travelers and outdoor holiday activities.

Tonight’s lows will drop into the upper 20s and low 30s, but the mild trend is expected to continue through the weekend with mostly dry weather ahead.
