Grand Forks, ND – Light snow continues across parts of eastern North Dakota this morning before tapering off later today, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Grand Forks. Meanwhile, lake effect snow will develop along the southern shores of Lake of the Woods in northwestern Minnesota and persist into Sunday morning.
The best chances for more than a trace of accumulation are expected in southeastern North Dakota and downwind of Lake of the Woods, where light to moderate snow bands may briefly reduce visibility. Snowfall totals will generally remain light, but localized slick spots are possible on untreated roads.
Cold air will keep temperatures well below normal through the weekend, with highs in the 20s and 30s and overnight lows in the teens.
By Sunday afternoon, skies will gradually clear, bringing a mix of sun and clouds but continuing chilly November air.
